Some animals make great pets. Others are farm animals. But most animals are wild - they cannot live with people. Some animals, such as lions may be too dangerous for humans to be around. Others are too difficult to care for. And of course, most animals are happier living in their natural habitats.

Some of the animals on this webpage are also endangered. This is because people kill animals for food or medicine. They also destroy their habitats due to farming, pollution or building.
