To the east of Sai Kung, and the New Territories, lies of the most interesting and unique places in Hong Kong. You'll see rocks with many interesting shapes and colours. If you love plants, fish and butterflies? Then you must go to Mai Po Wetland Park. You can also see over 350 kinds of birds. There is also the Yuen Long crocodile, named Pui Pui. But don't worry! She lives in a tank!
In 1987, Kowloon Walled City was torn down. Now it is a beautiful park with flowers, pavillions (seen above) and a giant chess board! Go to the park to relax and enjoy a quiet walk.
Sai Kung Country Park is very large. There are so many things to see and do. The Geopark is there. So are many white sandy beaches and hiking trails. You can have a barbecue, go camping or enjoy many kinds of watersports. There are also many islands you can visit. Take a boat trip to find a quiet island paradise!
