This book comes in big book format for instructional purposes but is a great little reader too. Since it is a repetitive text, you can also tell the story using a pocket chart or better still, use role play
ROLE PLAY
Get your props: a shopping bag & food items (real or toy: sausages, sticky buns, potato chips, chocolate, bananas & pepper)
Put the pepper aside until the end or add some surprise items such as kimchi, salt, garlic, hot peppers or other nasty items.
Download the Greedy Cat food posters if you want to use pictures instead.
