Sometimes it's hard to make the right choice. Junk food is delicious! But it is also very bad for our body so we should try to choose food that is tasty AND healthy at the same time.
Good Fats
Fatty food, fried foods and foods high in sugar or salt are unhealthy for us. These foods can make us sick, tired and fat.
But believe it or not, SOME fat is good for us! In fact, about 20-30% of your daily intake should come from healthy fats. Diets that are too low in fats are unhealthy.
The fats found in nuts, seeds, olives, avocadoes and oily fish, like salmon are very healthy for us. These are some of the healthiest foods you can eat.
They are rich in Omega-3's which are good for your whole body, but especially for your brain.
As a rule, try to avoid fats and oils that come from animals (butter, lard) and eat those that come from plants or fish (except for coconut & palm oil).
Food that is Bad for Us
Foods high in fat, sugar and salt are very bad for our health.
Fast food is one of the worst foods you can eat. This is because it is high in all three. So you should seldom eat it. It can give you energy, but it does not have the vitamins and minerals that your body needs and it is also very low in fibre. Fibre keeps your intestines healthy and helps you go to the toilet.
You are What You Eat
Eating too much unhealthy food will make you feel tired and you won't be able to think clearly. You will get fat quickly and you will get sick easily. Eventually, you may develop very serious health problems such as diabetes, cancer or heart disease. So eat only a little junk food!

Salt: fish sauce, soy sauce, shrimp paste

Sugar: ketchup, tomato sauce
honey, syrup, chocolate syrup
store-bought juice, cola, chocolate milk
