HEALTHY ROUTINES are good for us.
If we make a habit of doing
HEALTHY THINGS,
then we will do them EVERY DAY.
To be healthy, we need to do healthy things all the time. For example, if you eat a lot of vegetables, that it healthy, right? But what if you only ate vegetables one day a week? No! You need to eat well every day for you to be healthy.
EAT REGULARLY
Part of eating well means eating regularly. You need to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner every day. You may need to have a snack sometimes, too.
Don't forget to eat breakfast! It gives you the energy to get through the day. A good breakfast will help you to focus on you schoolwork.
GET ENOUGH SLEEP
Children aged 6-11 need between 9 & 11 hours of sleep each night. You may need more if you are very active. This includes schoolwork. Thinking uses a lot of energy too!
USE YOUR TIME WISELY
Spend less time in front of a screen - on your phone, computer or TV. Most of the things you watch are not good for you and too much screen time can make you very tired. It is also bad for your eyes. Instead, be active.
👍 Do exercise, play a sport, go to the
playground or take a walk.
👍 Play board games or card games
👍 Draw a picture or do an art project
👍 Cook or bake.
👍 Spend time with your friends and family
A HEALTHY MIND IS JUST AS IMPORTANT AS A HEALTHY BODY!
